Graduate Admissions - Minimum Academic Requirements

American Visoin University offers admission to applicants whose records demonstrate the highest potential for graduate study and promise for substantial contribution to both their academic professions and to a diverse, global society. The university fosters an environment that welcomes inclusiveness.

Admission decisions are based on many factors, such as the quality of the applicant’s prior academic degree and record of accomplishment, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation from professors or others familiar with the applicant’s academic work, performance in aptitude and achievement tests, relevant work experience, preparation in the proposed field of study, and the connection of the applicant’s academic goals with the faculty’s research interests.

Minimum Academic Admission Requirements

  • An online application form.
  • All students must submit documentation of a current photo ID that is issued by the government.
  • An undergraduate degree.
  • Official transcripts.
  • A current resume (CV) that demonstrates proven progressive experience in a managerial capacity.

Transfer Stude​nts:
If you have attended another university and are NEW to AVU, you will need to meet the transfer credit requirements.

Credit transfer is awarded for post-secondary courses that are completed by students at some other institutions only if that course meets our standards and requirements of your specific program’s interest. Our registrar evaluates the transcripts submitted by students on the basis of the following policies and criterion:

Master’s degree programs – At most 20% of total credits which are required for the completion of the program can be applied from the credits transferred in the American Vision University. Apart from that, for a master’s degree which requires 36 semester credits, only seven (7) credits can be transferred.
